News & Events

From Our Mountain Vista Community

Shannon Fitzgerald, 6th Grade Math Teacher

"I love teaching at MVCS because I get to see our students grow while building strong relationships within our community. It’s especially meaningful to teach family members of former students and continue those lasting connections."

Mia, Student

"I love my school because it gives me so many chances to grow and have fun. I am supported by my teachers and I feel encouraged to always try my best. I really like the sports my school provides. I enjoy representing my school as part of my team. My school helps me stay active, make friends, and learn important skills for the future, like teamwork and taking responsibility. I'm proud to be a student at Mountain Vista."

Tricia Champagne, Parent

"My kids have been going to MVCS for 4 years now and it has been an amazing school for all 4 of them! The teachers go above and beyond with education and also making sure that [social] emotional education is taught too! There are many different after school activities for all my kids to do. We absolutely love MVCS!"

Melissa Hernandez, 6th Grade Language Arts Teacher

"D2 is consistently striving to improve every aspect of education. Teacher voice matters, and student voice matters. We can teach in a unique and rewarding environment where students are truly prioritized while teachers are also valued and heard. D2 holds its teachers to high expectations, which in turn leads to exceptional outcomes for students. Working for D2 has been, and will always be, a memorable and meaningful experience."

Aubriella, Student

"I love Mountain Vista because the teachers make sure everyone feels included. I really like the House System because it's a fun way to get to know other students you wouldn't normally talk to since they aren't in your grade. I also love all of the clubs, sports, and activities that you can get involved with! There is something for everyone here. This is the best school I've ever gone to!"

Gina Cabrera, Grandparent

"Our experience at MVCS has been overwhelmingly positive. The unique needs of our granddaughter were taken into account from day one of her enrollment. Both the previous and current principal are very open to communication and problem solving. Teachers and counselors have been so supportive, caring and flexible. The variety of specials classes and after school clubs offered is impressive as well. We feel very lucky that our granddaughter is having such a positive middle school experience."

Mary Catelyn Adolfo-Mabida, 7th Grade Math Teacher

"As a teacher at MVCS, I can say it's the best choice because of its strong community focus, collaborative staff culture, and student-centered approach to learning. The administration provides meaningful support and professional development, allowing teachers to grow and innovate in their classrooms."
